  1. Complete this application form provided and sign.
  2. If the applicant is a tenant, this application form must be signed by the ownerof the unit.
  3. Attach the supporting quotations, costs and any reports.
  4. Lodge this form on line, OR email the completed, signed downloadable version to info@slbcm.com.au. You could also return it in-person to our Office.

    Terms and Conditions

    The applicant acknowledges the following conditions are to be met at all times:

    1. The lot owner must comply with the conditions of this approval and the body Corporate By-Laws;
    2. The improvements must be installed in the location(s) specified in the Air Conditioning Guidelines or Plan for the building (where applicable)
    3. The external compressor unit must be mounted a minimum of 20cm from the wall with sufficient vibration isolation to ensure no vibration is transferred from the unit to the wall of the building;
    4. The improvements must be located so as to cause no loss of visual amenity from the street or from neighbouring lots unless so authorised by the Body Corporate;
    5. The noise level of the operating air conditioning unit must comply with the applicable council regulations for noise above ambient levels;
    6. All costs associated with the air conditioning system, drainage, power supply and related fixtures during and following installation will be borne by the lot owner;
    7. The installation is to be maintained in good repair and condition and all repairs and maintenance costs will be the responsibility of the lot owner;
    8. The work is carried out by properly qualified tradesperson;
    9. The tradesmen supply evidence of their public liability and personal accident insurance cover to the Committee prior to commencement of work;
    10. The tradesmen do not leave any tools or equipment on common property and that all work takes place within the defined limits of this application;
    11. The tradesmen dispose of all debris correctly and that no debris at any time will represent any danger to anyone entering onto or leaving the premises;
    12. Any damage to common property caused by or resulting from the works and thereafter, will be rectified to the satisfaction of the Body Corporate, by the owner of the Lot and at the Owners cost.
    13. Care is taken at all times to minimise inconvenience to other residents and tradesmen and do not leave any tools or equipment on common property;
    14. That works are carried out between the hours of 8.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.00pm on Saturday. No work to be carried out on Sundays or Public Holidays;
    15. Upon removal of the unit, restoration of common property to the same condition prior to the installation must be completed by the Lot Owner and costs borne by the lot owner;
    16. The body corporate is indemnified from all claims arising out of the improvement (commencement of work signifies acceptance).
